We went to Pennsylvania to see Grandpa Randy and Nana for Easter. Although we were still sick (the only time Lila shares is when she has a cold... badum-cha!) We had a great time.

When the Cats Away...

Liam gets to play. (or should I say, When Lila has strep throat, I get some one-on-one time with mumsy).

I am not one to revel in another's downfall, but I'll take the individualized attention when I can get it. The weather was great today in Albany (trust me, there is only a handful of times when I can say that), so mom and I went for a walk to the playground, the fish store and the ice cream shop. We did bring Lila home some lemon sorbet, though. See, not totally selfish.

All you die hard Gorilla vs. Rex fans out there, who periodically check out sight,and then shake your fists in dismay when you see it has not been updated in 6 months... REJOICE! We are back with a renewed sense of hope and commitment of updating this page more regularly... to coin one of the more popular phrases of the last few months "Yes We Can".

We have been extremely busy since we last updated. GorilLiam has learned how to talk... or should I say talk back. The increase in his verbal skills seem directly related to him turning 2 in January. Ever since then, the dialogue around the household has been a lot more colorful. I (Rex) have almost completed an entire pre-school year and must admit that I have gotten quite good at it. I have a major in 'Dressin'-Up' and a minor in 'Snacking'.

Liam's Doppleganger

For those of you who don't know, the whole family went to Disneyworld in February. It was so magical. (That's Disney-speak for 'fun') I am convinced that we are going back very soon, or at least that's what I think my mother means when she says 'when pigs fly.' I got to meet every princess on my list (some of them more than once) and even got to ride the teacups and Dumbo. (I also was forced onto 'Snow White's Scary Adventure' by my parents who, despite my evident, and vocal trepidation, felt it was their right to ride on an 'adult ride'. Needless to say, I am still scarred.)

We're smiling because we only had to wait 10 minutes to see this rodent.

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we embarked on the perfect fall journey. We went to Ellm's Farm, which had a pumpkin patch, a 'jumping pillow', and a little something called the "Moo Moo, Choo-Choo". Of course we had donuts and cider to wrap things up.

Boston/Cambridge

Last week we took advantage of dad's nerd meeting at MIT (don't worry, he takes that as a compliment) and joined him in Cambridge...While he worked his mental wheels, we worked our stroller wheels and discovered Boston the old fashioned way, BDT (before duck tours). We saw the Boston Children's Museum, the Aquarium, Haaahvad, and the inside of more than one overcrowded subway car. All in all, quite the adventure. Enjoy the pictures here.

814 Mile Car Trip

We made it back in one piece everyone... and they said it couldn't be done. Last Wednesday we started out from Albany, stopped in Bethesda, MD, Washington, DC, Myrtle Beach, SC, Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA, Schnecksville, PA, Bethelehem, PA and back to Albany again. All this in 6 days... that is serious fun... concentrated. Here are the pictures from our east coast adventure.

Birthday Bash

Last Saturday morning, my parents threw a birthday party for me (Lila) in honor of me turning 3 years old. Can you believe that? And to top it off, my Grandpa Randy and Nana came for the weekend.. and surprised us by bringing Uncle Tommy too! Too much fun.. Enjoy the pictures.

Merger

We have thought long and hard about this one, and we are happy to say that we have reached a level in our relationship where we feel comfortable taking things to the next level. As of today Lila-saurus Rex and liam, per diem are moving in together. Now, I know what you are thinking... is this a wise step for us to take? A fair question, but we feel confident you will all enjoy the new format just as much, if not more.
